Oresin is a type of composite material used in the construction and design industries. It is a lightweight, durable and waterproof material which is used to create sculptures, architectural features, decorative objects, and more. Oresin is made up of two components, a resin and a powder. The resin is a combination of alkyd resins, acrylics and other polymers, while the powder is a mix of calcium carbonate, alumina, silica and other minerals. The two components are mixed together and poured or sprayed onto a surface, where they harden to create a unique, durable finish. Oresin is used in a variety of applications, including interior and exterior design, furniture, sculpture and more. It is an ideal choice for designers looking for a lightweight, waterproof and durable material to create unique and creative pieces.

Oresin Colorant for OR001, Ideal for Decorative Marbling & Terrazzo
Oresin Colorants allow Oresin OR001 to be made into any colour required. Oresin Colorants can also be mixed together to create almost any colour needed.
Oresin Colorants must be added to the Oresin Liquids by weight before the Oresin Base is added and mixing commences. Oresin Colorants are added at a maximum of 2% by weight of the total mix, or 20 grams/kilo of total mix (Base and Liquids). Scales with a minimum of 1g increments should be used when adding Oresin Colorants. 20g will produce a strong, saturated colour.
For lighter colours simply reduce the addition rate until the desired colour is achieved. Please note that Oresin Base is a natural material and as such is subject to minor variation – please take this into account when making very pale objects or when using the material without Oresin Colorant.
Oresin Colorants can also be used to colorant plaster, add at 2% by weight, as above.
PLEASE NOTE: These colorant are sold by weight and some colorants are heavier than others, so you may notice you have different volume of colorant.
